In the control room data gathered from the
D-TARI 5050 is deciphered and relayed through the ship's on board computer terminal.

Astronauts are tasked with deciphering this information and logging it into the ship's onboard systems in order to transfer their finding's across the universe and back to Earth.

The scene's lighting is my favorite part of the shot. I wanted to have very little artificial lighting while having the sun light the majority of the room through a small window off to the side.

Control Room PRops

Creating the props was also a very fun part of the process for me. Specifically the tape recorder and Nasa desk computer. I personally love the look of old technology compared to modern technology and decided to recreate a few of my favorite pieces of old tech with some minor adjustments.

Another fun thing I got to do was recreate myself in CG. If i'm being honest it isn't my greatest piece of work, however It was fun to make. I also probably won't use the CG character in the actual shot, but when I was making the environment I wasn't at home and didn't have the lighting control or wardrobe abilities to simple comp myself into the CG environment. And also my girlfriend told me it looked kind of creepy so I'll probably end up just photoscanning myself if I really need a CG me.
